‘You Me At Six’ a pop-punk band from Surrey, they’ve toured with the likes of Fightstar, Elliot Minor and from the 9th of this month Angels and Airwaves. NME have compared them to Panic! at the disco and Brand New. Kerrang magazine described them as a ‘fast rising emo quintet… with catchy melodies and snappy lyrics’ take a look at their myspace page to decide if their the new thing of 2008 or just another emo wannabe.
After featuring on Mark Ronson’s album with ‘Stop Me’, the Australian singer/songwriter showed himself as a new talent. descirebed as soulful, velvety and nostalgic, Merriweather’s voice took over the airwaves last year with ‘Stop me’, a cover of the Smiths We’ll have to wait until spring to see if he continues his success when he’ll be releasing his debut album, ‘Love And War’, for now keep up to date by taking a look at his myspace page.

Having supported the likes of Damien Rice, KT Tuinstall and Jose Gonzalez, Jon describes his voise as soulful and slightly grav. His music involves an acoustic guitar and harmonica. The sound he creates is spi0ne tingling, a twist between Eels and Rod Stewart. Many will have heard his song ‘Going Home’ on the Land Rover advert. Log on to his website for your free downlad.
Yael Naim, many would recognise her as the girl that sings ‘New Soul’ for the Mac book air advert. Her self-titled debut album was released in th US last week. It’s that time of year again, the time when we all look forward to summer, and the festival season! So you’ve heard all about last years festival and saved just enough to buy your weekend ticket. All there is to do is log on or ring up, buy your ticket and hey presto music madness is on it’s way. Going to a festival can be a steep learning curve, so it’s important you’ve got at least some idea of the rules and general festival etiquette. As this will be my fifth festival year, I decided plan upon plans to create a guide to try and help… maybe… even if it’s just to warn you not what to do!
Don’t let their band name offend you. Formed by a chance meeting in 2006 in the same pub that spawned
the The Holloways, We Smoke Fags are fast becoming the next generation of rock and roll. The guy’s based in London create the nu-rave sound that The Klaxons and Does It Offend You Yeah? are spewing to they masses. They draw inspiration from Iggy Pop, Blur and Madness.
