Hey, Welcome to Scratch The Skin, a place where you can find out about new signed and unsigned bands. Hopefully you’ll find some really cool music that you didn’t know existed!

So this page started out as part of my degree but im quite enjoying experimenting with my technical ability and promoting great music! For me, music is the one thing that can lift my mood in an instant. It allows people to express themselves in a simple but easily identifyable way. I have a great deal of time for those bands who play instuments for the love of the music.

Artist’s such as Prince, Aerosmith, The Cult, The Mighty Led Zepplin all made music for the love of it… originally! Those old ‘masterpiece’ albums are what I used to hear from my Dad’s collection throbbing out of the speakers every sunday morning! From then on it was a ritual, I would spend every penny, improving my CD collection and would blast them out at any given chance. I took up the drums, to get involved with the creative side of things, but I just play them for fun now. I love going to gig’s, especially when a support act grabs my attention and you get the chance to follow them to ‘the big time’, it’s a great feeling to have been in on something long before anyone knew about it!

Anyway less about me! Seriously, Scratchtheskin is about trying to keep you up to date with the music I’ve  found is great to listen to. But, I want to hear about you guy’s if you don’t agree with what I’ve written let me know, or if I’ve shown you an artist that you like and hadn’t heard before, again comment me, I’d love to hear what you have to say.
